This page is for the listing of the various heroes availible to the Sovereign, as well as their corresponding guild or temple. They are grouped into the three Hero types: Guild, Temple, and Non-human.
In addition to Heroes, the games primary units, there are also many different Henchmen that serve the Sovereign. However, unlike Heroes, who have a sort of free will and can be influenced, Henchmen have very specific behavior and purposes. However, like all units in the game, including Heroes, they cannot be directly controlled.

Temple Heroes[]
Temple Heroes get a bit more complicated. Because of conflicting religious beliefs, certain temples are incompatible with each other. Therefore, except in certain scenario situations, the Sovereign must choose carefully which temples to construct. Each grouping has specific uses, and downsides, that must be evaluated carefully depending on the quest at hand. Take a look the individual pages for more specific strategies, or at specific Quest pages to explore possible strategies for a particular scenario.
Remember, all groupings apply to construction capabilities, even if you did not build the temples yourself. The only way it is possible to acquire conflicting temple groupings is to find them already built under the fog of war (which occurs in specific scenarios.)
For example, you start your quest with a Temple to Krolm. Unless you find other temples scattered around the map, you will be unable to construct any temples of any type besides that of Krolm (unless something happens to it.)
Palace Level 2[]
These are the grouping available to be built when your Palace reaches level 2. With the exception of the Temple to Krolm, none of these temples conflict with the two available at level 3.

While available at level 2, it is important to single out the Temple to Krolm because once built or discovered, no other temples of any level will be available for the Sovereign to construct while it is standing.

Non-human Heroes are unique in that each one of them brings brings along a very useful trait. Therefore, except in certain scenario situations, the Sovereign must choose carefully which race to invite to his/her kingdom. Each race has specific uses, and downsides, that must be evaluated carefully depending on the quest at hand. Take a look the individual pages for more specific strategies, or at specific Quest pages to explore possible strategies for a particular scenario.
